Direct Stock Purchase Investing

Postby justme » Wed May 09, 2012 11:32 am

Just read a great book on the subject written Mkemo London - is anyone here participating in any of this type of investing? He lists several places you can begin with just $50. I was hoping to get advise before I "take the plunge". Thanks

Nope. It does sound like a good idea however. There was actually a recent article here at GRS about direct stock investing. Report back on how it goes!

I don't understand the advantage of direct stock purchasing over a mutual fund?

I've done it, and I have some accounts with piddly amounts of dollars, beaten up by the fees imposed by the managing institution. To each their own. You'll be far from diversified if you are talking about investing $50.
