Took up an instrument

Postby ctrlaltdel » Wed Jan 06, 2010 4:06 am

I decided to take up the violin for my 41st birthday. A local musician is offering a group class, 8 sessions for $100. And I found a rental violin yesterday for $15 a month. Been contemplating the meaning of flexibility and in all the ways to be so. The violin may be a stretch...my dog thinks so. I practice in the basement now. lol.

that is awesome to hear, I am a musician and can't tell you how much joy I get from playing - so keep at it and even if you don't see the benefits yet, you will probably be thankful you kept at it in a year or so...

Thanks for the encouragement! From what I gathered it will take quite a bit of time but I'll be in a class setting with other total beginners which is nice. The teacher is known for celtic fiddling and also Canadian maritime province...I'm pretty stoked about that.
