Im just curious as to why this particular piece of blasphemy continues to be claimed by the... uhh... less informed citizens of the world. Some of it is that Obama pushes this idea himself to try to rally the democratic base, which has typically been less gung-ho about military conflicts than conservatives. Such as the attack ad that Obama had out claiming that Romney was a warmonger who wanted to keep troops in Iraq and attack Iran and stay in Afghanistan forever, blah blah blah.
The truth is that Obama greatly increased the scale of the conflict in Afghanistan, asked to keep troops in Iraq but was rebuffed by the Iraqi government, continues to violate the sovereignty of Pakistan with drones strikes that while effective in killing insurgents, are very unpopular in Pakistan(the only country in the world that prefers Romney to Obama, btw) and aruguably cause extensive collateral damage. He also has no problem with assasinating US citizens in foreign countries (with no judicial oversight), continues to keep Guantanamo Bay prison open, and has sent US troops or drones into Yemen, Somalia, and the Congo.
If any recent president could be called a warmonger, it would be Obama. You would think his hawkish attitude would be championed by conservatives and unpopular with his own party base.
I think the fact that the opposite is mostly true just shows the horrifying ignorance of the electorate.
